Infra Red Spectroscopy

A  "fingerprint"   technique   used   to   identify   and   characterise   materials.   Chemical   bonds absorb infra-red light at a very specific wavelength. By scanning the infra-red region a spectrum is acquired.

Using a versatile ATR attachment, spectra can be obtained from soft solids, liquid or powder samples.

Transmission mode also available

Evolved Gas Analysis (EGA)

The spectrometer is fitted with a heated as cell for coupling with a TGA, this "hyphenated" technique enables the identification of products from TGA experiments
